| BioLineRx Adds Three Industry Experts to its Board of Directors | Record Date: 9/2/2010 Company: BioLineRx | Jerusalem, Israel, August 7, 2007 – BioLineRx Ltd. (TASE: BLRX), Israel’s leading drug development company announced today that Tamar Howson, Gil Bianco and Ilan Leviteh have been appointed to the Company's board of directors.
Ms. Howson brings to BioLineRx more than 20 years of pharmaceutical and biotech industry experience.Ms. Howson currently serves as executive vice president of business development at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, which she joined after six years as senior vice president of corporate and business development and member of the executive committee of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Between 1991 and 2000 Ms. Howson managed the corporate and business development functions of SR One, a $100MM venture fund, at SmithKline Beecham.
Mr. Bianco served as the CEO of Agis Industries Ltd. from 2001 to 2003. Throughout his employment with Agis, Mr. Bianco actively participated in transforming Agis into an internationally known pharmaceutical company with revenues of more than $350 million. In 1992, as Agis’ CFO, Mr. Bianco helped lead the IPO of the company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.Mr. Bianco also serves as a director of five additional life science companies, and of the Tel Aviv stock exchange since 2003.
Mr. Leviteh was the president and CEO of Makhetshim-Agan Industries, a world leader in the generic agro-chemical industry with $1.5 billion in revenues and a $2.5 billion market cap on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange, for more than 15 years [1988 – 2003]. He has been the chairman of the board of the Lycored group, Galam industries and Enzymotec since 1995. Galam is a leading manufacturer of fructose and starch and a major shareholder of Enzymotec.Mr. Leviteh is also the Chairman of BGN Technologies, the technology transfer company of Ben-Gurion University, and a director at Nasvax Ltd.
